LVPL 2026 Concludes in Grand Style at Hedri; BCCC Aldandi Clinches Thrilling Title Victory

Defeats Todsa Trophy Fighters by 3 Runs in Nail-Biting Final; Tournament Boosts Grassroots Cricket Talent in Etapalli Region

Gadchiroli, May 2026:

The Lloyds Village Premier League (LVPL) 2026, organized at the Lloyds Sports Ground in Hedri, concluded successfully amid great enthusiasm, thrilling cricketing action, and overwhelming support from the local community. The tournament emerged as a strong platform to promote sportsmanship, unity, and grassroots cricket talent from the Etapalli region.

The grand opening ceremony of the tournament was held on May 5, 2026, while official matches commenced from May 7. The much-awaited final, played on May 15, witnessed an edge-of-the-seat contest where BCCC Aldandi defeated Todsa Trophy Fighters by a narrow margin of 3 runs to lift the LVPL 2026 trophy.

Congratulating the organizers on the successful completion of the event, B. Prabhakaran, Managing Director of Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd., said, “Our focus has always been to provide quality platforms to local youth so that they can showcase their talent at National and International levels from Gadchiroli. Such tournaments play a key role in promoting grassroots sports and identifying emerging talent from rural communities.”

The champion team BCCC Aldandi received a cash prize of ₹75,000 along with the trophy, while Runner-Up Todsa Trophy Fighters secured ₹50,000. Hedri Hurricanes finished third and won ₹30,000, whereas Nender Eleven Heroes claimed fourth place with ₹20,000. Quarter-finalist teams were also rewarded with ₹10,000 each for their commendable performances.

Among individual achievers, Prasanjit Sarkar of Hedri Hurricanes was adjudged ‘Man of the Series’ and awarded ₹10,000 for his outstanding all-round performance. Other individual honors including Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder, Best Wicketkeeper, Best All-Rounder, Best Young Player, and Man of the Match were also presented with cash prizes of ₹3,000 each.

The organizers expressed gratitude to village leaders, police officials, volunteers, CSR teams, Lloyds departments, and villagers for their contribution in making the tournament a grand success.
